Clarke University sophomore
Josh Udelhofen, of Platteville, Wis., has added another honor to his growing list of accomplishments.
The Golf Coaches Association of America has announced its 2012 NAIA PING All-Region teams and Udelhofen is one of 15 players cited on the North Region team. A total of 60 NAIA student-athletes were honored across North, South, Central and West Regions.
Udelhofen carried a school record 74.1 scoring average through 20 rounds this past season and helped Coach
Jerry Hanson's Crusaders set a new season scoring average (316.5). He had seven Top 5 finishes in 11 events and captured medalist honors at the Clarke Crusader Invite, the Clarke Fall Classic and at the NAIA Midwest Invitational at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
One of five golfers named to the 2012 Midwest Collegiate Conference All-Conference team, Udelhofen shot a school record 66 at Thunder Hills Country Club and claimed medalist honors at the two-day event with a four under par 138. He shot a 75-70 three over par 145 to win at TPC Deere Run.
Udelhofen earned Capital One Academic All-America honors earlier this month.
Also named to the NAIA PING North All-Region team were Aaron Ahrendsen, Ben Kern, Yousaf Khan, and Josh Manske, of Grand View; Vince Carango, of Madonna; Matthew Code, of Holy Cross; Travis England and Ben Gillen, of St. Ambrose; Shawn Keenan, of Viterbo; Brady Klotz, of Bethel; J.D. Nash and Julian Taylor, of Williams Woods; and Trey Pfund and Preston Smith, of Marian.
