Four members of Coach Dan Spain's Clarke University baseball team have been named 2013 Daktronics - NAIA Scholar-Athletes.


Named to the honor list from Clarke were seniors Brian McCabe, of Lena, Ill., and Dustin Sandberg, of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and juniors Nico Piscopo, of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Jake Schaefer, of Waukesha, Wisconsin.

McCabe and Sandberg are repeat selections on the honor list.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
