The Clarke College women's basketball squad dropped an 84-55 non-conference matchup against Carthage College Monday in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Clarke junior Joquetta Rolle, of Cocoa, Fla., led Coach Zareth Gray's squad with game highs in both scoring (19) and rebounding (10).
 
Carthage (8-3) jumped to a 44-24 halftime lead and outscored the Crusaders 40-31 in the final 20 minutes of play. Heather Gilmore hit all seven of her field goal attempts and led Carthage with 16 points.
 
Carthage led 7-6 in the opening half before breaking the game open with a 20-2 run in a seven minute span.
 
Carthage shot 53.3 percent from the field and outrebounded Clarke 42-32. Clarke shot 35.1 percent from the field.
 
Laura Gaylord added 15 points for Clarke (1-14).
 
Clarke will play a non-conference game at Robert Morris College on Wednesday before returning home to host Waldorf College in a Midwest Collegiate Conference contest on Saturday.
