Junior J.D. Judd, of Spring Creek, Nev., hit a grand slam and Chris Briggs' second homer of the day lifted Clarke College to a 7-4 win over College of the Ozarks Friday afternoon in Branson, Missouri. Coach Chad Harris' Crusaders had dropped a 5-2 decision earlier in the day to Culver-Stockton College.

In the win over College of the Ozarks, Kirk Garrison (Sr., Moline, Ill.) pitched five effective innings and Chris Magarian (Sr., St. Catherines, Ontario) pitched two innings of relief to pick up the win.

Briggs, a freshman infielder from Villa Park, Ill., homered in Clarke's loss to Culver-Stockton.

Clarke will continue play on Saturday at Branson, facing Culver-Stockton at 1:30 p.m. and College of the Ozarks at 4 p.m.
