Coach Zareth Gray's women's basketball team will host William Penn University at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Midwest Collegiate Conference play-in game. The Crusaders wrapped up regular-season play Saturday afternoon with an 89-68 home loss to St. Ambrose University.

Ali Dolphin and Amy Fulfs each scored 21 points for St. Ambrose (19-10, 11-5 MCC), while Dolphin pulled down a game-high 18 rebounds.

Laura Gaylord led Clarke with 17 points. Molly Browning, Joquetta Rolle and Tiffany Till each tallied 11 points. Rolle and Till grabbed 15 and 11 rebounds, respectively, for the Crusaders.

Clarke (4-25, 3-13 MCC) jumped to a 6-0 lead, but St. Ambrose opened things up with a 23-2 run. The Queen Bees led 44-25 at the break.

St. Ambrose shot 42.9 percent from the field, while Clarke shot just 26.3 percent.

Monday's Clarke-William Penn winner will advance to Thursday's quarterfinals.
