Clarke College senior thrower
Emily Brown, of Delano, Calif., has been named the Midwest Collegiate Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. Brown won the weight throw competition at the MCC Championship on Saturday with a throw of 16.61 meters. The event was held in Sterling, Illinois.
Clarke finished fourth in the women's competition, while Clarke's men finished sixth overall.

Morgan Bradford, of Anderson, S.C., won the pole vault event with a clearance of 3.0 meters.
Clarke took the top two places in the women's 600 meter dash. Freund took first place with a time of 1:40.82, while Leslie finished second with a time of 1:44.32.
Kelsey Gleich (Fr., Cottage Grove, Minn.) claimed second place in the women's 800 meter run with a time of 2:31.16.
In men's competition, Clarke freshman
Isaac Mase (Kapsabet, Kenya) finished second in the mile run with a school-record time of 4:33.42, and third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:03.74.
Grand View University captured both the men's and women's team titles.
