(So., Westchester, Ill.) banged out five hits for the Crusaders, who saw their season record slip to 3-11 following losses of 5-4 and 7-5.
Rusty Cordell's sixth inning solo home run, his second round tripper of the game, lifted the University of the Ozarks to a 5-4 win over Clarke in game one.
The University of the Ozarks plated three runs in the second inning and led 4-1 after three. Ryan Kelly's RBI single in the fourth inning made it 4-2 and Coach Chad Harris' squad evening things up in at 4-4 in the sixth inning on RBI singles by Nick Bowles and Tony Harvat.
Cordell, who went 2-for-3 at the plate with four RBIs and two runs scored, put the hosts up for good in the bottom of the sixth.
Chris Biggs and Harvat both had two hits and an RBI for the Crusaders, while Dean Molitor was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases.
Justin Hass took the loss for Clarke.
The University of the Ozarks snared the win in the nightcap by breaking a 5-5 tie with a pair of runs in the sixth inning. The Eagles led 5-1 before the Crusaders battled back. Clarke scored two runs in the fifth to make it 5-3 and evened things up in the sixth when Jared Krasselt
hit a two-out, two-run single to center field.
Harvat, who opened the sixth inning with a double, had three of Clarke's five hits.
started game two and Hass took the loss in relief.
Clarke will play a twin bill at Lyon College at noon on Wednesday.
