Clarke College junior
J.D. Judd (Spring Creek, Nev.) homered twice and Justin Hass (So., Cabot, Ark.) pitched three scoreless innings Saturday to lead Clarke College to a 5-4 Midwest Collegiate Conference home win over Waldorf College. Michael Jiminez (Jr., Cidra, Puerto Rico) went 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs for the Crusaders, who improved to 9-14 overall and 2-1 in the MCC.

Chad Harris' squad up 1-0 in the second when he homered to left field. Waldorf took a 2-1 lead in the third on back-to-back home runs by Mason Duckett and Bryan Kloetzke. Clarke went up 3-2 in the bottom of the inning on a two-run homer by Michael Jiminez. The visiting Warriors plated a single run in the fourth to pull even, but Judd's second round tripper of the game and third of the series put the hosts up 4-3. Waldorf made it 4-4 when Scott Chirpich's RBI double scored Jamie Smeigh, who led off the inning with a triple. Jiminez knocked in the eventual game-winner when he singled through the right side to score
Dean Molitor.
Clarke's Justin Hass pitched the final three innings and improved to 2-2 with the win. Clarke starter
Brian Cross struck out six and walked three while allowing three earned runs in six innings of mound duty.
Chirpich went 3-for-5 for Waldorf (4-10, 1-2 MCC) with two RBIs.
Clarke will continue MCC play on Tuesday, March 24, with a doubleheader at Ashford University. The first game is set for 3 p.m.
