Tony Harvat - Two home runs and four RBIs in Win Over Ashord

Coach Chad Harris' Clarke College baseball team made it nine wins in its last 10 outings with an 18-9 Midwest Collegiate Conference win over Ashford University Thursday in Clinton, Iowa. The Crusaders pounded out 15 hits and hit four home runs in a 10-run second inning.
Clarke (12-14, 5-1 MCC) jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first and added 10  more runs in the top of the second. The Crusaders scored nine of the runs off the long ball. Tony Harvat hit a pair of two-run homers, Jared Krasselt hit a grand slam and Dean Molitor a solo shot in the uprising.
Clarke led 18-2 before the host Saints plated seven runs in the fifth.
Josh Duncan (1-0) pitched the final five innings, allowing just one earned run in that span. 
Harvat was 2-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Lister was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Krasselt, Nick Bowles and Michael Jiminez also had two hits on the day.
Clarke will play at Division I Western Illinois University on Friday. The single, inning game will begin at 3:30 p.m.
