The Clarke College women's track and field team finished fourth, while the men's squad placed sixth Monday at the 68th annual Viking Olympics. The competition was held at Paul V. Olsen Track in Rock Island, Illinois.
Clarke picked up second place finishes in the women's 4x400 meter relay (4:26.76) and the 4x800 meter relay (10:16.22).
Individuallly, the Crusaders picked up second-place finishes frrom
Kari Klein (100 meter hurdles, 17.37), long jump (
Joquetta Rolle, 5.23 meters) and pole vault (
Morgan Bradford, 2.95 meters). Rolle's long jump mark was a new school record.
Russell ReVoir finished third in the men's high jump with a clearance of 1.87 meters, matching his school-record mark he set last year.
Issac Mase ran a school-record time of 4:14.60 in hte 1500 meter run.
Host Augustana claimed both the men's and women's team titles.
