Megan Chitty - School-Record 76 Leads Clarke to Title

Clarke College freshman Megan Chitty, of Davenport, fired a school-record 76 Sunday at Thunder HIlls Country Club to lead the Crusaders to the Clarke Fall Invitational title. Coach Rick Arrington's squad topped the six-team field with a 362 team score.
 
Chitty carded a 39 on the front nine and followed that up with a 37 on the back nine to break the school record of 83 set earlier this fall by freshman teammate Erin Hauser.
 
Ashley Johnson shot a 92, Jodie Muth a 93 and Hauser a 101.
 
Jordan Davis of Ashford was the runner-up medalist with an 82.
 
Clarke was followed in the team standings by St. Ambrose (362), Ashford (371), Mount Mercy (380), St. Ambrose JV (400) and Iowa Wesleyan (468).
