Sean Esterhuizen's Clarke College soccer program have earned 2009 Midwest Collegiate Conference All-Conference honors. Three Crusaders were cited as first-team all-conference performers, while three others were named to the honorable mention all-conference list.
Gleich, a sophomore midfielder from Cottage Grove, Minn., ranked second in both goals (9) and scoring (22 points) on Clarke's team that finished 8-7-4 overall, 5-1-2 in MCC play and advanced to the MCC Tournament semifinal game.
Kass, a junior defender from Dubuque, Iowa, moved up to the first-team all-conference unit after earning honorable meniton all-conference honors in 2008.
Willich, a freshman forward from Davenport, Iowa, led Esterhuizen's squad in scoring (23) with eight goals and seven assists.
Junior defender Takara Harden, of Richland, Wash., was an honorable mention all-conference pick.
Matt Carlson, a junior midfielder/foward from Johnston, Iowa, and
Jason Reno, a senior forward from West Richland, Wash., were named honorable mention all-conference selections.
Carlson led the 2009 Crusaders in goals scored (7) and scoring (15).
