Clarke College junior middle hitter Ashley Shields, of Harvard, Ill., has been named a Midwest Collegiate Conference Volleyball Honorable Mention All-Conference selection. A total of 14 student-athletes earned first-team all-conference honors, while another nine athletes were named to the honorable mention all-conference listing.

Shields led Coach Chris Miron's 2009 squad in kills (423), kills per set (3.00), attack percentage (.269), blocks (141) and total points (545).

Shields finished the season ranked third on Clarke's all-time kills list with 1,191 career kills.
