Thomas Ammon claimed game highs in both scoring (32) and rebounding (16) Tuesday night to lead Clarke College to a 98-93 non-conference overtime win over Judson University. Ammon, who had four assists and two blocks, tallied six points in the overtime session for the Crusaders, who outscored the hosts 8-2 in the final 2:01 of the contest.

Clarke built a four-point lead in the extra session, but a Landon Skinner three-point field goal and an Anthony Ahlers lay-up put the Eagles up 91-90 with 2:01 to play. Ammon answered with a layup at the 1:39 mark that put Coach Jerry Drymon's squad on top for good.

Clarke (1-7) also had double-figure scoring performances from Eli Fitzsimons (17), Justin Heng (17) and Jonathan Warlich (10). Fitzsimons hit 6 of 7 attempts from the field.

Marious Lobdell led Judson (1-8) with 23 points.

Judson led 48-46 at intermission. The game featured 11 ties and six lead changes.

Both teams shot 49.2 pecent from the field.

Ahlers grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Eagles to a 40-35 advantage on the boards.

Clarke will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 28, when the Crusaders play at Rockford College. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.
