Casey Breitbach and
Joquetta Rolle combined for 30 points, 27 rebounds and 16 steals Saturday afternoon to lead Clarke College to a 58-39 win over Indiana University Northwest at the Robert and Ruth Kehl Center. The Crusaders improved to 2-6 with the non-conference victory, while Indiana Northwest slipped to 4-3.
Breitbach, a senior from Dubuque, scored a team-high 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out three assists and recorded eight steals for the Coach
Zareth Gray's squad. Rolle, a senior from Cocoa, Fla., added nine points, eight steals and grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds.
Clarke built a 29-23 lead at halftime and used a 9-0 run midway through the second half to blow the game open. The Crusaders led by six with just under nine minutes to play and used that run to extend the lead to 15 points with just over five minutes to play. The Crusaders led by 21 points with just under a minute to play.
Israel Coleman added 12 points for Clarke.
Clarke owned a 58-39 advantage on the boards.
Sharon Houston led Indiana Northwest with 24 points, 13 rebounds and six blocked shot.
Clarke will host Wheaton College at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30.
