Four members of Coach Chris Miron's Clarke College women's volleyball team have been named 2009 Daktronics-National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Volleyball Scholar-Athletes.

Named to the scholar-athlete list from Clarke were juniors Heather Jansen and Raychel Nicks, both of Hazel Green, Wis., Ashley Shields, of Harvard, Ill., and Keri West, of Dubuque, Iowa.

A  total of 304 volleyball players from across the country earned the honor.

Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior status to qualify.
