Clarke College's men's and women's track and field teams each pocketed sixth place finishes Saturday at the University of Dubuque Sol Butler Classic. Nine teams were entered in each field, the season-opening indoor event for Coach
Adam Hinders' Crusaders.
Clarke's women's team had individual first-place finishes from
Hannah Day, who won the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:03.03,
Morgan Bradford, who won the pole vault competition with a clearance of 3.35 meters, and
Jessica Nessan who took first in the triple jump (11.00 meters). Nessan took second in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.83. Clarke's distance medley relay team of
Carley Freund,
Samantha Leslie,
Katrina Moyna and
Katie Hemesath took first place with a time of 13:89.06.
Clarke's
Isaac Mase took second place in the men's mile (4:37.92) and third in the 800 meter run (2:02.35).
Russell ReVoir finished second in the high jump with a clearance of 1.93 meters.
Augustana claimed both the men's and women's team titles.
