Michelle Jamison added 21 and
Joquetta Rolle pulled down a game-high 17 rebounds Saturday to lead Clarke College to a 63-59 Midwest Collegiate Conference home win over No. 11 St. Ambrose University.
Clarke led 34-32 at the break and extended the lead to eight with 4:16 to play when Breitbach hit the second of two free throws. Ashley Dexter capped off a 10-1St. Ambrose run that put the Queen Bees up 58-57. Breitbach hit a pair of gifters with 58 seconds showing on the clock to give Coach
Zareth Gray's squad the lead for good.
Clarke shot 46.2 percent from beyond the three-point arc, hitting 12 of 26 attempts. St. Ambrose hit just six of 30 shtos from three-point range.
Clarke (5-17, 2-6 MCC) shot 31 percent fro the field overall, while St. Ambrose shot 32.4 percent.
Jenny Clarke led St. Ambrose (18-4, 6-2 MCC) with 15 points.
Clarke will return to action on Monday, Jan. 25, when the Crusaders host Ashford University.
