
Alex Kelsheimer had a team-high 19 kills and a match-high 23 points Tuesday night to lead Clarke College to a win over St. Ambrose University in the Crusaders Mid-America Men's Intercollegiate Volleyball Conference opener. Coach Kris Dorn's squad improved to 3-0 overall with a 30-28, 30-25, 29-31, 30-28 home win over the Fighting Bees.
Bobby Springer hit .423 and added 14 kills for Clarke, while Alex Wilharm and Travis Gabehart each put down 12 kills.
Matt Redman had 53 assists for Clarke. Dan Tringale had 10 digs and Tyler Oehmen had six blocks.
Dan Dowjotas led St. Ambrose (3-1, 0-1 MAMVIC) with a match-high 20 kills.
