Thomas Ammon scored a game-high 19 points and pulled down a game-best 14 rebounds Thursday night to lead Coach Jerry Drymon's Clarke College Crusaders to a 75-66 Midwest Collegiate Conference road win over Iowa Wesleyan College. Ammon, a senior from Redding, Calif., added five steals, four assists and one blocked shot for the Crusaders, who led from start to finish and avenged an earlier setback to the Tigers.

Clarke also had double-figure scoring performances from Cory Billingsley (14), Jonathan Warlich (13) and Elliott Carr (10). Billingsley hit 4 of 8 attempts from beyond the point arc, while Warlich was credited with six assists.

Clarke (4-19, 2-8 MCC) ran off the final 10 points of the opening half to build a 38-19 halftime advantage. Iowa Wesleyan cut the gap to 47-42 with 9:43 to play in the contest but the hosts could get no closer.

Clarke outrebounded Iowa Wesleyan by 10, 47-37, and shot 43.1 percent from the field. The Tigers shot just 14.8 percent in the opening 20 minutes of play and shot just 32.8 percent for the contest.

Weldon Miller led Iowa Wesleyan (8-13, 3-7 MCC) with 17 points.

Clarke will continue MCC road play at William Penn University on Saturday.

Iowa Wesleyan won the women's matchup 74-50.
