Jessica Nessan, of Dubuque, took first place in the long jump competition Saturday on the final day of competition at the 69th annual Viking Olympics in Rock Island, Illinois. Nessan finished with a distance of 5.42 meters, while Clarke senior
Joquetta Rolle, of Cocoa, Fla., placed third with a leap of 5.15 meters.
Clarke's women's team finished fifth in the women's standings, while the men's squad placed ninth.
The event was contested at the Paul V. Olsen Track/Ericson Field.
