Clarke College Head Baseball Coach Chad Harris has announced the signing of two more high school seniors for the 2010-2011 recruiting class.

Jake Schaefer, a 6-3, 190-pound first baseman and right-handed pitcher from Waukesha, Wis., has signed a letter of intent to play for the Crusaders. Schaefer, who attends Waukesha West High School, has been named a 2010 Under Armour Pre-Season All-American. As a junior, Schafer pitched 31 innings and had 25 strikeouts. He is the team captain for his high school team plans to major in business.

Nico Piscopo, a 5-11, 190-pound senior at Elk Grove High School in Elk Grove, Ill., has also signed a letter of intent to join the Crusaders' baseball team next fall. Piscopo, who is signed as both a pitcher and catcher, is currently hitting .450 for Elk Grove High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in psychology.

"Our freshman class is coming together nicely," said Coach Harris on the signing of Schaefer and Piscopo. "These two young men get what we're trying to accomplish here at Clarke and jumped at the opportunity to help us continue building. Once again, not only did our program land solid baseball players, the Clarke community is gaining great young men who will be major assets to this campus over the years."
