Clarke College juniors Justin Heng, of Norfolk, Neb., and Jessica Nessan, of Dubuque, each won events Saturday at the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational in Lisle, Illinois. Heng shared first place in the Open 800 with a school-record time of 1:56.96, while Nessan had an NAIA "B" Standard qualifying performance in winning the long jump competition with a jump of 5.52 meters.
 
Nessan placed third in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.45, while Katrina Moyna took second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:26.53.
 
Clarke's 4x400 meter relay team of Hannah Day, Katrina Moyna, Kaila Dalen and Samantha Leslie took second with a time of 2:26.53.
