Clarke College freshman
Megan Chitty, of Davenport, Iowa, has been named to the 2009-10 Midwest Collegiate Conference Women's Golf All-Conference team. Chitty was one of five players to be selected for the honor.
Chitty was the runner-up medalist at this year's MCC Championship at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny, Iowa. Chitty and tournament medalist MacKenzie Hein of tournament champion St. Ambrose University each shot 158s, but Hein defeated Chitty in a sudden death playoff.
Chitty is a product of Davenport Central High School. She fired a school-record 76 to lead Coach
Rick Arrington's squad to the team title at the Crusaders' Fall Invite.
Hein was named the MCC Player of the Year, while Ashford's Josh Davis was cited as the MCC Coach of the Year.
