Two Clarke College student-athletes have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII men's at-large team. Senior Ryan Burras, of Decorah, Iowa, and junior Alex Kelsheimer, of St. Louis, Mo., were among 12 players named to the college division honor squad, which is selected by members of CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).

Burras, a member of Coach Jerry Hanson's men's golf team, carries a 3.97 grade point average in biology.

Kelsheimer sports a 4.00 grade point average in athletic training. He is a member of Coach Kris Dorn's men's volleyball squad.

As first-team All-District VII selections, Burras and Kelsheimer will now appear on the Academic All-America ballot.

To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.30 grade point average, must have completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution, and must have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.

Student-athletes were nominated by their college's respective sports information directors.
