Former Louisiana at Lafayette outside hitter Meghan Harrison has signed a letter of intent to join the Clarke University volleyball team. She played two seasons with the Division-I Ragin' Cajuns before deciding to transfer closer to her hometown of Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

"With her experience and ability, I think she'll have an immediate and positive impact," Clarke head coach Chris Miron said. "She's skilled at blocking and attacking and she's quick to the ball. She'll be able to move the ball around for us. She's very versatile."

Harrison saw action in 20 matches during the 2008 season and 12 matches in 2009 for Louisiana at Lafayette. She totaled 43 career kills the past two seasons.

Prior to her time in Lafayette, Harrison attended the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha where she did not participate in athletics.

She graduated from Waukesha North High School in 2008. While there she earned three varsity letters in volleyball, was named all-conference three times, was a three-time team MVP and team captain and led her team in blocking all four years.

Harrison, who stands 6-2, will be a junior at Clarke with two seasons of eligibility remaining. She plans to major in art education.
