Shannon Ford, Bekah Willich and Emily Rehfus each scored goals and Kaylee Steen had six saves in goal to lead Clarke University to a 3-0 home win over Lawrence University Saturday. Coach Sean Esterhuizen's Crusaders improved to 2-0 with their second straight shutout.
Clarke led 1-0 at halftime on a Shannon Ford goal five minutes into the contest on an assist from Emily Rehfus. Bekah Willich made it 2-0 with a goal at the 67:19 mark on an assist from Rachel Wenberg. Rehfus closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal with just over four minutes remaining in the final half.
Clarke outshot Lawrence (0-2) 12-10.
Clarke will travel to Whitewater, Wis., on Sunday to face UW-Whitewater at 5 p.m.
