Ben Lehmkuhl cards 81 to lead Clarke to fourth place finish

Ben Lehmkuhl carded an 81 Tuesday to lead Clarke University to a fourth-place finish at the Loras College Fall Invitational at The Meadows Golf Course in Asbury. The junior from Clinton, Iowa, placed eighth individually for the Crusaders, who finished one stroke out of second place with a 337 team score.

Mount Mercy University claimed the team title with a 314, while Coe College and the University of Dubuque shared second place with 336 team scores. Clarke and tournament host Loras tied for fourth.

Coe's Derek Nicholson claimed medalist honors with a 74.

Clarke freshman Josh Udelhofen, of Platteville, Wis., finished 13th with an 83. Jamie Hagen (Fr., Woodstock, Ill.) had an 86, while Andrew Quam (Jr., Platteville, Wis.) carded an 87.

Clarke will compete in the Mount Mercy Invitational this Saturday and Sunday at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
