Casey DeCrane's goal with eight seconds remaining in regulation Saturday lifted fourth-seeded Clarke University to a dramatic 2-1 Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament win over No. 5 seed Iowa Wesleyan and earned Coach Sean Esterhuizen's Crusaders a spot in next Saturday's semifinals.

Neither team scored in the opening half on Saturday and it remained scoreless until Clarke's Sara Doerr scored on an assist from Brittany Sova at the 76:29 mark. Erin Lucido evened things up with 1:23 to play on a feed from Jacki Isham. The opening round tournament game appeared to be headed to overtime, but DeCrane found the back of the net on an assist from Emily Rehfus.

Clarke goalkeeper Kaylee Steen had nine saves for the Crusaders, who improved to 7-10-2 overall. Iowa Wesleyan finishes the 2011 slate with a 9-10 mark.

Clarke will meet top-seeded Grand View University next Saturday in Des Moines. Grand View advanced to next Saturday's semifinal round with a 3-0 home win Saturday over Mount Mercy University.

Second-seeded St. Ambrose University will host No. 3 seed Ashford Unviversity in Saturday's other semifinal contest.

The MCC Tournament championship game will be contested on Nov. 9.
