Clarke University's men's and women's basketball teams split a Midwest Collegiate Conference doubleheader Saturday afternoon at the Robert and Ruth Kehl Center.
   
Luke Cassedy and Craig Christopher each scored 13 points and Mike Schindel added 12 points to lead Coach Jerry Drymon's men's squad to an 85-48 win. Eleven different players got into the scoring column for the Crusaders, who improved to 12-7 overall and 4-5 in MCC play.
 
Logan Hamm led AIB (2-19, 1-8 MCC) with 14 points.
 
In the women's matchup, Katira Young scored a game-high 20 points to lead AIB (9-12, 2-7 MCC) to an 85-59 victory. Brittany Collier led Clarke (4-16, 1-8 MCC) with 18 points and six rebounds. Anna Hahn chipped in 13 points.
 
Clarke's men's and women's team will continue MCC play at home on Monday, hosting Viterbo University. The women's contest is set for 5:30 p.m., with the men's tilt scheduled to follow at 7:30 p.m.
