Another solid team effort by the Crusader men helps them hold their spot at 25th out of 56 varsity teams, while the Clarke women make a strong move, up six spots to finish in 13th out of 42 women's teams at the Blue and Gold Classic in South Bend, Ind. Sunday.Jacob Boresch continued to set the bar for his Crusader teammates, putting together games of 192, 254, and 221 to finish in 25th place out of 436 bowlers, averaging 215.9. Following Boresch's lead, the Clarke men finished with a total pin-fall of 8876 for nine games (986.2 team average).
On the women's side,
Morgan O'Brien added games of 168, 225 and 196 to her total to finish in 35th out of 287 bowlers with a total pin-fall of 1682 (186.9 average).
Sarah Bunta was high on the team for her three games on Sunday, adding 220, 187 and 197 to help the team finish with a grand total of 8016 (890.67 team average).
The Clarke bowlers will have the next two weeks off from competition, returning to the lanes for their home event February 11 and 12.
