Clarke University senior
Morgan Bradford left the Midwest Collegiate Conference Indoor Championship Saturday as pole vault champion after setting a meet record with a clearance of 3.28m (10-09.00 ft.). The event was held at the Westwood Sports Complex in Sterling, Illinois.
Lauren Palmer placed third and set a new school record in the high jump with a clearance of 1.57m (5-01.75 ft.) on Saturday.
Clarke's women's team placed fifth out of eight teams, while the men's team placed sixth out of eight teams.
Samantha Francois placed third in the 400m dash with a time of 1:00.96 and broke Clarke's record in the event. Francois also broke Clarke's 200m record with a time of 27.11.
Grace Gordon broke Clarke's 5000m record with a time of 20:29.41.
The women's 4x400m relay of Francois,
Megan Lehmkuhl, Casey DeCrane, and
Hannah Day placed second with a time of 4:13.68.
Day placed third in the 800m run with a time of 2:24.72.
In men's competition,
Graham Mahon placed second in the 800m run with a time of 2:02.44.
Scott Titler broke Clarke's 5000m record with a time of 17:05.75.
