Alyssa Dalsing is in her third year as a Clarke College Spirit Squad coach. A native of Dubuque, Iowa, Alyssa participated in cheerleading while attending Clarke. She also has an extensive dance background. Alyssa was a student assistant in 2007 and a co-coach in 2008 at Clarke. In 2008, Alyssa also volunteered as an assistant coach for the Dubuque Hempstead High School cheerleading program. While at Hempstead, the team competed for the first time at the state level and became state champions in the side line division. Alyssa is now the head cheerleading coach for Clarke and she is a substitute teacher for the Dubuque Community School District.

While at Hempstead, the team competed for the first time at the state level and became state champions in the sideline division. Alyssa is now the head cheerleading coach for Clarke.

Alyssa received her bachelor of arts degree in elementary education from Clarke College. She is currently a substitute teacher for the Dubuque Community School District.

Julie Weires is in her fourth year as a Clarke College Spirit Squad coach. A native of Durango, Iowa, Julie participated in cheer and dance while attending Clarke from 2002-2006. She began coaching at Clarke directly after graduating. Prior to coaching at Clarke, she was an assistant coach for the Dubuque Senior High School cheerleading team from 2005-2006.

In the 2008-2009 season, the Clarke's competitive dance squad placed second in the hip-hop category at the Iowa State Drill Team Association's college competition under the direction of Julie.

Julie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Clarke College, and she is currently finishing her Masters of Education degree in school counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Besides coaching, Julie is a Senior Admissions Representative in the Office of Admissions at Clarke.
