Jerry Hanson is in his fourth season as Clarke University head men's golf coach. Hanson, Clarke's sports information director the past 14 years, came to Clarke from Briar Cliff University, Sioux City, Iowa, where he spent 18 years as sports information director and seven years as men's golf coach.

Hanson was the 1994 recipient of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Clarence "Ike" Pearson Award and was a 2000 inductee into the Briar Cliff Athletic Hall of Fame.

A native of Sioux City, Hanson received his bachelor of arts degree in communication from Briar Cliff.

Jerry and his wife, Jeanne Helling, have three children, Cody, 20; Rebecca, 17; and Carter, 12.
