I. Introduction of 2008-2009 committee
a. 08-09 Officers: Dustin Brown: Co-President

Liz Garthwright: Community Service Coordinator
Teams Present: Women's Golf, Men's Golf, Women's Volleyball, Men's Volleyball, Dance, Baseball, Softball, Track and Field
II. Budget for 2008-2009
a. $200 per semester provided by CSA
b. Items/events covered in budget;
i. Student Athlete of the Month Award Plaques
ii. CHAMPS T-shirt screen
iii. Adopt-a-Highway fees
iv. Pack the Place: Basketball or Volleyball game
v. Kid's Day
vi. Super Bowl/March Madness event
III. Service Projects: Must be approved by Liz Garthwright prior to service participation
a. Possible Ideas:
i. Aiding with new Weight Room Rennovation- Moving equipment from the basement and PAC
ii. ALS Bike-a-thon: information provided by coordinator at University of Dubuque
iii. Kid's Day in the Spring

V. Student Athlete of the Month: September 2008
a. Awarded to Caitlin Woods: Softball
VI. Sport Recaps for the month
a. Women's and Men's Golf: Season is underway and both teams have had at least one outing so far.
b. Women's Volleyball: Season is also in full swing- first home game is coming up soon
c. Men's Volleyball: Conditioning has begun as well as some Open Gyms
d. Dance: Practices are underway and team is learning the year's routines. The team will also be competing at the IA State Dance competition in Des Moines at the beginning of December.
e. Baseball and Softball: Fall season practices have been going for two weeks. First fall games are coming up in the next couple of weeks.
f. Track: Strength and Conditioning has begun for the men's and women's team.
VII. Meeting Adjourned at 8:40pm. Next meeting for Committee is October 12th at 7pm in West Locust/Rose O'Toole Hall.
