Andres Leza is in his fifth year as an assistant coach with the Crusaders' men's and women's soccer programs.
A native of Muscatine, Iowa, Leza came to Clarke from Macalester College, of St. Paul, Minn., where he had served as assistant track and field coach since 2001. During that period, Leza also served as the head coach of the Wings Soccer Club, of New Hope, Minnesota.
He was the head coach of the Minnetonka (Minn.) High School junior varsity girls' soccer team and served as an evaluator for the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association since 2002.
A four-year letterwinner in both soccer and track and field at Macalester, Leza garnered All-Conference honors in the 800-meter run as a senior. He competed in cross country as a senior, earning NCAA All-Academic honors, and was a nominee for the college's Presidential Leadership Award for seniors.
Leza received his bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Macalester College.
