Clarke College Head Women's Volleyball Coach Chris Miron announced today that Melissa Dever, of Maquoketa, Iowa, has signed a letter of intent to enroll at the college this fall and join the Crusaders' volleyball program.

Five Clarke College student-athletes have been named recipients of the Midwest Collegiate Conference 2009 Fall Champion of Character Award.

Four members of Coach Chris Miron's Clarke College women's volleyball team have been named 2009 Daktronics-National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Volleyball Scholar-Athletes.

Clarke College junior middle hitter Ashley Shields, of Harvard, Ill., has been named a Midwest Collegiate Conference Volleyball Honorable Mention All-Conference selection. A total of 14 student-athletes earned first-team all-conference honors, while another nine athletes were named to the honorable mention all-conference listing.
