Jared Munson - Ties School Mark With 5 Hits Against Loras
Coach Chad Harris' baseball squad pounded out 17 hits Wednesday in a 13-5 non-conference home win over city rival Loras College at A.J. Spiegel Park in Peosta, Iowa. Leadoff hitter Jared Munson tied a school record with five hits and desgnated hitter Tony Harvat went 3-for-5 with four RBIs for the Crusaders, who improved to 9-7.

Clarke College Head Baseball Coach Chad Harris has announced two additions to the Crusaders' 2010 schedule. The Crusaders will play at Upper Iowa University at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, and will host Loras College at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, at A.J. Spiegel Park in Peosta, Iowa.

Clarke Baseball Coach Chad Harris has announced the signing of Skyline High School's (Mead, Colo.) Ethan Jelinek. Jelinek is a 5-9, 165 pound outfielder who hit .310 as a junior with a 1.000 fielding percentage.

The Metrodome in Minneapolis has seen a number of talented athletes play on its fields. The Minnesota Twins played there until this upcoming season and it is the current home of the Minnesota Vikings. A new batch of players stepped on the grass on February 15. One of them was Clarke College pitcher Steve Mabeus.

Brian Cross - Tosses 5-inning, 2-hit Shutout
Brian Cross (1-0) pitched a five-inning, two-hit shutout and Chris Briggs and Tony Harvat each drove in three runs Wednesday to lift Clarke College to a 12-0 win in game two and a doubleheader split with Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas. Lyon took game one 10-1.
